When the California sun is at its peak, the perfect way to cool down is a trip down Rip Roaring Rapids and its outdoor water adventure. Take the entire family on a white water rafting expedition as you navigate down a rugged river course in a 6-person raft. Your self-guided tour includes whitewater challenges and slow relaxing spots reminiscent of a real rafting trip. With most of the ride not visible from the park, it truly feels like a ride in the wilderness.
Height Requirement: 46” minimum
The real fun is guessing which side of the raft will be soaked around the next bend in the river. It could be your side, the other half or everyone! If you manage to escape the rapids and waterfalls dry, guests are lined up along the course ready to fire water soakers in case the river doesn’t do its job.
Rip Roaring Rapids joined Great America’s family of rides in 1988.
