NEW LIVE SHOW!!!
“The Corner Notes” are a fun, high-energy, song and dance group that’s bringing 1950’s nostalgia back to the All-American Corners section of California’s Great America. The group is comprised of three couples who get the crowd singing along to hits of the 1950’s.
IN A SPIN
All American Corners also features the return of a classic Great America ride.
Orbit has stood at Great America since the park first opened in 1976, but the ride opened with a slightly different name. For the first few years of its life, the ride was known as Orleans Orbit, which was a nod to its location at the time in the Orleans Place section of the park. Over the years, as the dividing line between themed areas of the park shifted, the ride’s home territory was claimed by All-American Corners, and the “Orleans” descriptor was dropped.
Guests who embark on Orbit sit two to a car in free-swinging gondolas that start out just two inches above the ground. As the ride begins, the cars spin at increasing speeds perpendicular to the earth below. Slowly, the cars are lifted by a large hydraulic arm to as high as 80 ft. in the air. Then, let the centrifugal force be with you as you get turned upside down over and over again.
Come see the retro-refurbishments for yourself! Take a spin on Orbit! Sing along to The Corner Notes and grab a bite from one of the new food locations in All American Corners.
