May 22, 2021 will mark the end of the 508-day-long closure the park endured due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a year and a half, we are finally able to welcome our guests back and once again showcase the magic we call Great America.

Panda Express is getting a makeover!
Thanks to a new updated overhang, guests will no longer have to stand in the sun as they wait for their order of orange chicken. With new plant life around and thrill rides zooming overhead, you have never had Panda Express like this before!

Since the park opens this month, our cleaning crew is working endlessly to make sure the park looks its best for opening day! First impressions are everything!
Built to last!
As preparation for opening day, all of our benches will be weather sealed to make sure that they are conditioned all season long. Rain or shine, these benches are built to last!
It’s Time!
On May 22, we get to open our gates once again. We are doing all we can to make opening day 2021 a special one. With updated rides, new food options and South Bay Shores right around the corner, we are super excited to have you back in the park!
