Take a Front-Seat Virtual Ride on Gold Striker
May 13, 2020Did you know that Northern California’s tallest, fastest and highest-rated wooden coaster is located right here at California’s Great America? Gold Striker, which opened in 2013, flies along 3,197 feet of wooden track during the course of the ride. This iconic coaster offers countless instances of weightlessness and near-miss moments where the ride crosses under and over its own structure.
Positioned at the front of the park, creating a grand entrance to the right of Carousel Columbia, Gold Striker stands 108.2 feet high and travels 53.7 miles per hour.
One of the most defining characteristics of Gold Striker is its one-of-a-kind first drop. The entire first descent is enclosed in a tunnel, offering riders a truly unique experience.
Buckle up, hold on tight, and get ready to experience the rush of strikin’ gold!
