July 1, 2019

The calendar just flipped ahead from June to July, which means hot days, lots of sun and—best of all—the Fourth of July long weekend! This holiday weekend, we’ve got plenty of amazing things planned that will be sure to keep the whole family entertained, including one of the Bay Area’s best fireworks displays! Here’s everything you need to know before planning your long weekend trip to California’s Great America.

Two Nights of Fireworks

On July 4 AND July 5, we’re going to be lighting up the night sky with one of the South Bay’s most impressive fireworks displays. The best spots to see all the action are on the midway in front of the Flight Deck roller coaster or in Redwood Amphitheater. There is tiered seating available in the Amphitheater, so families may be more comfortable watching the show from that vantage point. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. both nights and will be complemented by a patriotic soundtrack.

Free Admission for Military

Current and past military members can enjoy our festivities with free admission on July 4–7, 2019. Just bring valid photo ID to the ticket booths to participate. Plus, each military member can bring up to six guests for just $24 each!

Waterpark Included With Admission

Great America is the only waterpark and amusement park in one in Northern California! Spend the day lounging in the lazy river or screaming on our newest roller coaster, RailBlazer, before watching our amazing fireworks show. Don’t forget to grab some popcorn or cotton candy for the full Great America experience!

Hope we’ll see you this holiday for unforgettable family memories. It’s going to be incredible! See you on the midways…
