5 Reasons to Spend Cinco de Mayo with Us

California's Great America

California's Great America is the premier amusement park in California's Bay Area, offering endless fun and thrills with world-class rides, attractions and live entertainment.

Here’s our countdown of the top five things that make California’s Great America the most festive place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year.

1. Family-friendly Fun for All

Not only will this be a day full of authentic Hispanic culture, but the entire park will also be open for all the roller coaster fun you can imagine! With Planet Snoopy for the little ones and bigger thrills on Gold Striker, there will be family fun for all ages.

2. Refreshingly Flavorful Michelada Tastings

Whether you like your beer with hot sauce or lime, you’ll be sure to find a taste that you love. With the purchase of a tasting card, you can try all eight beautifully garnished Michelada drinks. Community members submitted their michelada recipes to be served at the event, and the tastiest recipe will win the submitter two round-trip tickets to Guadalajara, Mexico!

3. The Food, of Course

With a special menu consisting of made-in-house mahi mahi tostadas, petite chili rellenos, whitefish ceviche, and chile Colorado sopapilla, there is a little something for everybody to try. Along with two taco trucks, our new French Quarter Funnel Cakes & Churros location will also be selling special treats. So make room for dessert because you don’t want to miss the mangonada funnel cake or the margarita churros!

4. Live Entertainment

Discover a vibrant atmosphere of traditional live music and dance. Performances include folkloric dancing and mariachi music. It is sure to be a day full of Latin immersion!

5. Spanish-Language Merchandise

Enjoy shopping around for limited edition Spanish-language merchandise such as clothing and plush items. There will be something for everybody in the family!
