Drilling Deep into our Newest Maze: Tooth Fairy

Danny Messinger

As area manager of digital marketing, I get to tell the incredible stories of our park to the world—and take our biggest fans Between the Lines. I’ve been an incurable amusement park fanatic since I was a kid and have worked at two other parks (shout-out to Cedar Point and Valleyfair!). Now, I can’t wait to share my passion with our readers! The new-for-2018 Tooth Fairy maze has been a huge hit at California’s Great America Halloween Haunt this season. With the lights low and the tooth fairy herself lurking around every corner, it’s hard to appreciate all the amazing details within the maze. Here’s a peek at some of the coolest shots we’ve gotten from the maze—just in case you’re not brave enough to keep your eyes open in real life!

We even got a chance to ask some of the monsters who call the Tooth Fairy maze home what the most surprising part of their Halloween Haunt experience has been so far this season.

“People seem really excited when they come to Tooth Fairy, and honestly terrified,” says one monster (who must have just had a run-in with the Tooth Fairy, given her gnarly dental situation). “When Steph Curry came through the maze earlier this year, it was awesome to be able to scare him and his group.”

So what’s the weirdest thing the Tooth Fairy sees?

“Almost every night, someone smiles big and asks if I want to take their teeth,” says the fairy. “It’s never the kids that are offering, though. I’m just dying for baby teeth—not dentures.”
