Chill Out in a VIP Igloo

Danny Messinger

As area manager of digital marketing, I get to tell the incredible stories of our park to the world—and take our biggest fans Between the Lines. I’ve been an incurable amusement park fanatic since I was a kid and have worked at two other parks (shout-out to Cedar Point and Valleyfair!). Now, I can’t wait to share my passion with our readers! The holidays are all about slowing down—taking a break to really enjoy the warm company of friends and family. WinterFest at California's Great America is a great spot to do just that. Under the glow of seven million lights, your family can stroll through 11 festively decorated areas scattered throughout the Great America midway. One of the new-for-2018 themed areas is Arctic Alley, where you can find another brand-new WinterFest experience: Jack Frost’s Igloo Village.

This Igloo Village is just what it sounds like…we’re building a small town of igloos, which you can rent for the night for your own family or friends, right in the middle of the park close to our newest roller coaster, RailBlazer.

These aren’t regular igloos, though. No ice or snow here! Each of the clear-sided, premium VIP igloos are completely furnished for an exclusive lounge feel and include holiday decorations throughout. These are going to be the coolest (or warmest?!) igloos around.

Each igloo reservation also includes VIP perks, like a private event host that will help you plan your WinterFest evening, concierge services such as food and beverage delivery, reserved seating at WinterFest live shows, hot chocolate and cookies, and a complimentary ice skating session.

These igloos are the perfect spot to take a break, enjoy the company of your WinterFest party and warm up on a cool evening. You’ll be able to kick back and relax in your private space, awash in the glow of the cool lights hung all around throughout Arctic Alley.

Each igloo reservation automatically includes up to four guests. But if you have an even bigger family, or friends who are practically part of your house, you can add up to four more. Check out the reservation details for Jack Frost’s Igloo Village, and start planning your VIP WinterFest night now!

Don’t forget, for a limited time, you can buy your 2019 Gold Season Pass and receive unlimited visits and free parking to WinterFest in 2018 and the entire 2019 season. 2018 Gold and Platinum Season Passholders receive free admission to WinterFest.
