There’s a lot going on at California’s Great America this weekend and for Independence Day. Here’s a quick recap of all the exciting ways to celebrate America’s birthday at Great America.

Free Admission for Military

Current and past military members get free admission to Great America from July 1-4, 2017. It’s our way of saying thanks for your service. Plus, military members can bring up to six guests along for $22.99 each—a huge savings off of front gate prices. Just make sure to bring valid military ID to take advantage of the savings!

Fabulous Fireworks

We’re lighting up the sky for four nights in a row. From July 1-4, 2017, we’ll have a special fireworks show set to lively music at 9:45 p.m. Looking for a good spot to watch the show? Grab a seat in Redwood Amphitheater; doors will open around 9 p.m.

VIP Dining Experience

Want a gourmet dinner and VIP seating for the fireworks show on the Fourth of July? You’re in luck! For 2017, we’re hosting a VIP dining experience at Great America Pavilion. Diners get to enjoy special menu items, like smoked Maggie Brown’s ribs, cornbread pudding, sushi, salad, and more—then they get exclusive access to the best spot for watching the fireworks show! Find more info about the VIP Dining Experience here.

Patriotic Thrills

We can’t celebrate the Fourth and not mention Patriot, the newest roller coaster experience at Great America. Riders are lifted up nine stories and then plummet back to Earth through a vertical loop, a corkscrew and hairpin turns—all while they sit in floorless seats that put their feet dangling just inches above the track. It’ll have you screaming louder than an eagle!

See you in the park!
