Title: Group Sales Coordinator 

Reports to: Group Sales Manager

Status: Fulltime Non-Exempt


JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:

This position assists the sales staff and Group Sales Manager in administrative functions related to coordinating sales events and supporting sales/marketing service inquires/telemarketing sales calls as needed. Provides a high level of staff support. Participates in the training and development of co-workers.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-2 Years Related Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
MINIMUM AGE:
  • At Least 21 Years of Age
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Solid Clerical/Administrative experience with an emphasis on Customer Service.
  • PC Knowledge (Delphi/ATS/Excel).
  • Typing 55 wpm with a high level of accuracy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directly effect Sales event success ratio through consistent and timely coordination.
  • Track assigned events (contracts/deposits). Initiate/process material orders. Insure all events processed are completed efficiently and in a professional manner.
  • Routine correspondence/mail, telephone coverage, area memos, qualify incoming calls, manage supply inventory, training as needed, maintain office equipment.
  • Coordinate all print/ticket orders within approved guidelines.
  • Submit requisitions, proof, follow-up, pick up of finished materials. Complete overall material tracking of each company event as needed.
  • Maintain effective system of completed materials to insure timeliness of deliveries are met.
  • Assist with special projects or assignments directed by Management.
  • Assists sales team and Manager with client customer service including park tours, collateral support, client inquires, trade show coordination and assists in Sales staff travel needs when requested.
  • Proficient in basic business software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software and CRM applications.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Title: Area Manager, Park Services

Reports to: Director of Park Operations

Status: Fulltime Exempt


JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures that employees are thoroughly trained on all facets of functions of grounds and buildings and that appropriate testing is administered
  • Responsible for proper scheduling of Supervisors and employee
  • Plans and oversees the development and training of Supervisors
  • Revises training manuals and certification check lists as needed

  • Coordinates and communicates operational pass downs to Duty Managers and other departments as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Title: Ride Mechanic

Reports to: Ride Mechanic Foreperson

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Inspects, maintains and repairs rides and equipment as assigned.
  • Lubricates rides and equipment.
  • Designs and fabricates parts; rebuilds components.
  • Cleans mechanical parts as needed.
  • Responds to work orders and trouble calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date maintenance records; prepares maintenance reports as required.
  • Reviews technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work.
  • Works with other departments on repairs and maintenance projects as appropriate.
  • Offers training and assistance to co-workers as necessary.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of all maintenance problems or areas of concern.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, parts and materials.

Requires forklift and man lift certifications.

Title: Ride Electrician

JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs electrical work on rides, ride control systems, computer, and PLC.
• Installs electrical conduit and wiring; cleans electrical equipment and components; maintains controls and motors on rides; maintains ride lighting; maintains ride solid state drives.
• Modifies electrical/electronic systems as needed to ensure ride safety and efficiency.
• Reviews technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work.
• Prepares and/or maintains inspection sheets, daily work records, downtime records, modification forms, various other reports, records, logs, etc.
• Performs all work in accordance with department policies and procedures, regulations, plans and specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
• Refers to policies and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, ride manuals, vendor catalogs, etc.
• Orders and assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, parts and materials.
• Maintains assigned equipment in a safe and proper working condition; maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive seasonal staffing plan to ensure that hiring needs for all departments are met in a timely manner throughout the season. This includes on-going recruitment in a variety of formats; developing relationships with high schools, colleges and community organization; on-boarding of new employees and day to day management of the applicant tracking software.
  • Ensures that the employment functions meets all Company policy and legal requirements under both State and Federal law including Job accommodations, background checks, drug testing, e-verify, I-9 documentation, work permits, food handler cards and any other items relevant to the daily operation. Title: Executive Chef

Reports to: Director of Foods & Beverage

Status: Fulltime Exempt



JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring high quality food standards at Great America’s food facilities. This position will focus on keeping food cost at a profitable level while maintaining the highest levels of quality, service, and consistency. Additionally, the Executive Chef will be responsible for expanding food production, catering & special event food production, ensuring cleanliness, and increasing productivity, and efficiency in all food units and production areas. Will also develop new menu items and identify future food concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts with certificate of completion in a related apprentice program or equivalent.
  • 5+ years related experience in Culinary/Food Service.
  • Themed amusement park experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of California Health and Safety Code/Regulations; ServeSafe Certified, instructor certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures that food cost goals and standards are met and maintained for all food and beverage locations. Creates annual department operating budgets and analyses making adjustments as needed to maximize achievement of profit and food cost-control goals to ensure actual expenses stay within budget.
  • Oversees all culinary daily operations procedures, while ensuring all company standards and practices are being maintained. Ensures distribution of daily operational duties and all culinary schedules are balanced and maintained based on business needs. Ensures the availability of all needed materials and equipment to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
  • Develops and manages weekly audits of safety, health and sanitation programs. Implements established safety, security, and loss prevention policies and procedures to ensure safety of guests and employees. Manages compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Implements new or improved quality control standards for foods by location and performs quarterly inspections to ensure compliance. Reviews department policies and procedures on an on-going basis, making specific recommendations to improve service and efficiency.
  • Identifies, develops and implements new menu concepts related to seasonal service needs, while setting per cap revenue goals as reflected by performance.
  • Communicates division status on an on-going basis, including operational issues, associate concerns, guest complaints, special requests, losses, and provides any other relevant or appropriate reports to ensure maximum quality and operational needs are met.
  • Hires, develops, leads, and provides training and regular feedback to all Kitchen Supervisors and Sous Chefs to maintain a consistently higher standard of food quality. Ensures all guest service standards and practices are being met according to standards. Manages associate performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions. Conducts performance appraisals on an annual basis with each direct report.
