GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
 
Under occasional supervision, installs, monitors, tests, maintains and repairs electrical systems throughout the Park. Performs related work as required. Reports to the Facilities Maintenance / Technical Foreperson.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Installs, monitors, tests, maintains and repairs electrical equipment and systems throughout the Park.
  • Designs and installs new electric circuits.
  • Maintains lighting throughout the Park.
  • Performs electrical installation, maintenance and repair work for special events.
  • Troubleshoots and services problems and equipment failures.
  • Orders parts and materials required for maintenance and repair work; maintains inventory records.
  • Receives and responds to work orders in a timely manner.
  • Updates electrical drawings and maintains records with accuracy.
  • Assists other technicians with HVAC maintenance as needed.
  • Performs all work in compliance with park policies and procedures, codes, regulations, and standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintains assigned vehicles, tools and equipment.
  • Maintains clean, safe work and storage areas.
  • Attends workshops, training, meetings, etc., to maintain skills and stay abreast of industry trends, products and resources.
  • Receives and reviews various records and reports including daily work reports, work orders, billing invoices, architectural drawings, electrical diagrams, meter readings, maintenance records, etc.
  • Prepares and/or processes daily reports, purchase orders, electrical diagrams, parts lists, etc.
  • Refers to policy and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, codes and standards, charts, etc.
  • Operates a vehicle, man lift, bucket lift, scissor lift, fork lift, pallet jack, electrical equipment and controls, two-way radio, etc.
  • Uses meters, gauges, shop tools, measuring devices, electrician's tools and instruments, carpentry tools, mechanic’s tools, diagnostic equipment, parts, lubricants, etc.
  • Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, other Park supervisors and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, etc.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
 
Requires a vocational diploma in electrical maintenance and repair work supplemented by three to five years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair work, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees the daily management of merchandise and games operations, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, maximum profitability from shops, kiosks and games. Controls, cycles and maintains merchandise for resale purposes, and oversees daily warehouse operations. Supervises and reviews the work of seasonal managerial staff. Performs related professional and supervisory duties as required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Manages the daily operation of the retail stores and games locations.
• Administrative duties include instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of subordinates; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems; and recommending employee promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge.
• Manages the resale administrative office.
• Assists with annual department budget preparation and budget forecasts; ensures expenditures are in accordance with budget allocations.
• Negotiates with vendors for the best price, terms and service, and maintains a professional relationship with all vendors; maintains vendor files.
• Develops, plans, schedules and conducts department training. Assists in developing and enforcing department policies and procedures.
• Tracks the financial performance of the Games Department; prepares related reports. Compiles merchandise sales information and prepares related reports.
• Controls and monitors receiving and distribution in the warehouse.
• Develops, implements and enforces inventory/warehouse policies and procedures.
• Assists in developing short and long range plans and strategies to meet or exceed sales and inventory goals.
• Inspects merchandise retail units for visual integrity, inventory control, operational efficiencies, and safety.
• Identifies operational problems or potential problems and initiates effective resolutions.
• Serves as liaison for concessions.
• Encourages a safe, pleasant work environment for employees.
• Keeps abreast of retail trends, technology and products for the theme park industry.
• Receives and responds to guest concerns and interacts with Park guests in person; takes corrective action as necessary to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Prepares and/or processes performance evaluations, sales and inventory reports, revenue comparisons, various other reports, memos, correspondence, etc.
• Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
• Other duties may be assigned.


MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Requires 5 7 years of related experience in retail operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Inspects, maintains and repairs rides and equipment as assigned.
  • Lubricates rides and equipment.
  • Designs and fabricates parts; rebuilds components.
  • Cleans mechanical parts as needed.
  • Responds to work orders and trouble calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date maintenance records; prepares maintenance reports as required.
  • Reviews technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work.

  • Keeps supervisor informed of all maintenance problems or areas of concern.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, parts and materials.
  • Maintains assigned equipment in a safe and proper working condition; maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Performs all work in accordance with department policies and procedures, regulations, plans and specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
  • Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from employees and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operates rides as necessary.
  • May perform minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical work as required.
  • Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • Requires a vocational diploma in mechanical / industrial maintenance supplemented by three to five years of experience in mechanical maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Requires forklift and man lift certifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid California Driver's License
JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Special Markets/Youth Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and increasing sales within the diversity, religious, summer youth programs and military business segments. This position is expected to meet or exceed specific attendance and revenue goals as prescribed by the Corporate Sales Incentive Plan by customarily and regularly soliciting sales at the customers’ and potential customers’ places of business, at trade and association shows, and through prescribed and acceptable sales processes used by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Remaining work time shall be devoted to furthering individual sales efforts through exceptional customer service and follow-through.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Or equivalent combinations of both)
  • 1-2 Years Related Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 year College or University)
  • Theme park, hospitality, or entertainment or travel industry experience
  • Marketing or related field
MINIMUM AGE:
  • At Least 21 Years of Age

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an independent environment with minimum supervision and deliver against set objectives.
  • Strong time and project management stills and experience.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills; experience creating and delivering public presentations; superior spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required by business and account demands.
  • Proficient in basic business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software and CRM applications.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial laws.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops, manages, and sells to new and existing accounts within the youth business segment through in-person sales and service calls as well as through telephone and web outreach for remotely based clients and prospects.
  • Manages territory/segment by customarily and regularly soliciting sales at customers’or potential customers’ places of business and prescribed and acceptable sales processes used by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.
  • Performs other work that furthers individual outside sales efforts. For example, prospecting for new account opportunities through networking with member associations events and contacts; collaboration with the Corporate Director of Youth Sales, and Cedar Fair sales counterparts; follow-up communication via telephone and written materials; planning and preparing for outside sales calls; preparing and analyzing sales reports; preparing proposals and other individual marketing and sales materials; providing tours of event and park facilities; and, ensuring full account support to all clients with regard to marketing and on site coordination of events and activities.
  • Recommends new or different programs to meet the needs of each client including new catering options, ticket programs, or other revenue streams to meet the wishes of the client.
  • Works with the Corporate Director of Youth Sales developing programs for his/her respective park that are in alignment with corporate youth business direction.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level sufficient to conduct employee meetings; provide detailed direction to staff, guests, and vendors; and write policies, procedures, reports and other business related documents and correspondence.

• Performs and leads mechanical crew in the monitoring, maintenance and repair of vehicles, heavy equipment and select rides as assigned.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical and computer-related problems with fleet vehicles and select rides; assists mechanics with difficult repair work as necessary.
• Welds, modifies and fabricates parts as necessary.
• Supervises subordinate mechanics; supervisory duties include scheduling; instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems, and recommending employee transfers, promotions, discipline and discharge.
• Reviews the work of subordinates for completeness and effectiveness; evaluates and makes recommendations as appropriate; offers training, advice and assistance as needed.
• Assists in developing and implementing short and long-range fleet maintenance and repair plans
• Works with other departments on repairs and maintenance projects as appropriate.
• Assists supervisor in preparing department budget. Orders parts and materials as needed, ensuring compliance with budgetary allocations; maintains adequate inventory.
• Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment. Conducts safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment.
• Ensures the safe maintenance of shop and other work areas.
• Attends workshops, meetings, training, etc., to stay abreast of industry trends, products and resources and to maintain/develop necessary skills.
• Receives and reviews various records and reports including budget documents, work orders, invoices, meeting agendas, vehicle maintenance records, etc.
• Prepares and/or maintains maintenance reports, work orders, purchase orders, schedules, budget documents, parts lists, inventory records, various other reports, records, logs, etc.
• Refers to policies and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, blueprints, ride manuals, vehicle maintenance manuals, vendor catalogs, trade magazines, etc.
• Operates vehicles (automobiles, trucks, and buses), rides, construction equipment, vehicle lift, diagnostic equipment, welding equipment, various other shop equipment, and a variety of equipment such as a computer, calculator, telephone, two-way radio.
• Uses computer and clerical supplies, meters, gauges, measuring devices, welding tools, mechanic's tools, electrician’s tools, plumbing tools, various other hand and power tools, etc.
• Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, other Park supervisors and staff, subordinates, guests, vendors, inspectors, etc.
• Services employee vehicles and guest vehicles as necessary
• Washes fleet and ride cars.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
• Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
