GIRL SCOUT OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE
June 8-9, 2013


On June 8-9, California’s Great America invites area Girl Scouts for an incredible weekend of thrills, fun and camping.

The excitement begins June 8 at 10 a.m. when California’s Great America opens to the Girl Scouts and their families. You’ll experience the latest addition to California’s Great America, Gold Striker – the tallest and fastest wooden coaster in Northern California. All your traditional favorites, including Flight Deck, Demon and Drop Tower ensure a screaming visit for the entire troop.

Attendees will earn a special badge for the event and there will be a Scout only Karaoke contest. At 6 p.m. a delicious dinner in the Picnic Pavilion will be provided, after which, all participants will raise their tents for the campout (first 600 registrants only). A Scout Showcase, featuring talented Girl Scouts will entertain everyone and then everyone will camp under the stars at California’s Great America.

You’ll awake to a hot, healthy breakfast and prepare for another exciting adventure at California’s Great America.

$75.50 person (ages 3+)

  • Due to space availability, overnight camping is limited to Girl Scouts; single day discount admission tickets are available for purchase.
Friends & Family Tickets Include:
$28.00 per person (ages 3+)

  • One day admission to join your group
  • Admission Ticket does not include meal
Camping Facilities and Safety:
  • Large Grass Areas (Groups must provide their own tents)
  • Maintained restrooms (Sorry no showers)
  • Well-lit walkways

Basic Itinerary and 2-Day Activities

Day 1
10:00 am                 California’s Great America opens to Scouts and their families

3–5 pm                    Pick up your scout patch in front of the Picnic Pavilion

5 pm                        Troop Karaoke Contest at the 50s Gazebo. Registration begins at 4:30pm. Spaces are limited. First  
                                come, first-served. Song list coming soon

6–7 pm                    Scout Celebration Picnic in the Picnic Pavilion. (A picnic ticket is required to enter the picnic area.)

7:30 pm–9pm          Set-up camping area

9–10 pm                  Scout Showcase – We provide the supplies. YOU provide the entertainment. Skits, sing-a-longs, dance
                                routines, etc. are encouraged. (Each group will receive 5 minutes on stage).

11 pm                      Lights Out!

Day 2
7:30– 8:30 am          Campsite clean-up

8–9:30 am                Breakfast served in the Picnic Pavilion

10 am                       Park opens to the general public. Scout overnight guests are invited for another day of thrills and fun!
