Halloween Haunt Without The Scares

California's Great America

California's Great America is the premier amusement park in California's Bay Area, offering endless fun and thrills with world-class rides, attractions and live entertainment.

Halloween Haunt is the spookiest event at California’s Great America, as the park is completely transformed with frightful surprises and terrifying attractions. Fog covers the midways and screams from guests in our haunted mazes fill the air. Ghoulish monsters are found around every corner.

So what if you love Halloween, but being scared isn’t really your thing?

No Boo Necklaces

The first thing you need in order to enjoy the spooky ambiance without the terror is the “No Boo” necklace! This fun, flashing light-up necklace lets the monsters on our midway know they need to stay out of your way. With this necklace, you can tag along with your Haunt-loving friends without being scared. You can easily move around the park without any zombies or ghosts following you!

Night Rides On All Your Favorites

The second thing you need to do is enjoy the rides in the park. In addition to all of the high-intensity attractions that are created just for Haunt, all your favorite rides are open as well throughout the evening. If you prefer RailBlazer and GoldStriker over The Tooth Fairy and CornStalkers mazes, Haunt is the perfect time to experience all the big thrills the park has to offer.

Scare-free Live Entertainment

Finally, you don’t want to miss all the great shows Haunt has to offer! There’s something for everyone, including our entertaining opening ceremony where the witch and the Tooth Fairy face off each night at the main entrance reflection pond. In addition, don’t miss:

  • Ed Alonzo, the Second Greatest Showman -- Ed Alonzo (of Saved By The Bell fame) blends magic and cutting-edge humor in his new show (Theatre Royale).
  • Blood Drums -- A high-energy Haunt ritual, complete with fire dancers and the Street Drum Corps. It’s an explosive, apocalyptic blend of music, blood and sparks (Great America Theater steps).
  • Nytewalkers – These zombies defy gravity in search of their next living meal in this exciting show. Trampoline artists and acrobats float above the crowd and BMX bikers and rollerbladers propel into the sky (Celebration Plaza).
  • Sideshow -- A troupe of misfit performers have taken a turn off of the midway, and they are DYING to entertain guests (All American Corners).

So even if scares aren’t your thing, you can still enjoy Haunt – just grab your No Boo necklace at the Inside CGA store when you head into the park!
