1 .Ice Skating

Visit Snowflake Lake and skate on one of the most picturesque ice skating venues anywhere as the reflection pond in front of the famous Carousel Columbia is turned into an ice skating rink. Additional fee required.


2. Tree Lighting Ceremony


A cast of 20 carolers accompanied by community singers and choirs will kick off WinterFest with a tree lighting ceremony in Celebration Plaza at 5:30pm nightly.


3. Holiday Shows

Make unforgettable memories at Great America this year with special holiday-themed live showst! Join Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang in an ice skating spectacular, sing along with carolers throughout the park, and more!


4. Themed Areas


Enjoy nine distinct and decorative themed areas that will guide attendees through WinterFest. Guests can gaze at 20 ft. tall candy canes in Candy Cane Lane, experience the wonder of snow falling in Hometown Square, adore Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree in Planet Snoopy, and take photos with toy soldiers and oversized toys in Toy Land. Additionally, skate under the stars at Snowflake Lake, chill-out at Coca-Cola Polar Bear Plaza, find a perfect gift at Crafter’s Corner, visit Mrs. Claus at Orleans Place, and marvel at a 70 ft. tall Christmas tree in Celebration Plaza.


5. Holiday Treats


No visit to WinterFest would be complete without enjoying our holiday treats. Enjoy scrumptious holiday foods at numerous locations throughout the park including refillable hot chocolate, gingerbread funnel cakes, candy cane cookies, a holiday dinner (purchase online) and more!


Single day tickets are available online for as low as $24.99 and admission to WinterFest is included with a 2016 or 2017 Gold or Platinum Pass. The five-week WinterFest celebration will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with daily operations December 19-23 and 26-30 from 5pm-10pm (December 11 from 7pm-11pm).
